Routes into the Labour Market
This objective was about exchanging practice and test new methods for routes into the labour market, addressing the needs of both individuals and employers, and including mechanisms such as social enterprise, corporate social responsibility, and access to the open labour market. Paris took the lead on developing a transnational understanding on this theme, although all 4inclusion partners contributed
Background
Paris DP had the ambition to encourage more relationships and trust between social organisations and employers, joining complementary skills to prepare the labour market and workers of tomorrow. The societal objective is to encourage equal opportunities for individuals to access and sustain work in the labour market.
Themed Seminar
In October 2005, Paris hosted the ‘4inclusion – Routes into the Labour Market’ seminar. The objective of the seminar was to compare practices in order to enable partners:
- To discover the French approach to work on these aspects
- To identify the different approaches and conceptions on this theme
- To see any possibility of transferring experience in other national
contexts
Highlights from the seminar included
- Showcasing good practice projects on labour market participation
- Working groups and case studies on ‘how to access employment’ and ‘how to maintain employment’ for this client group
